BRIEF SUMMARY Muir Beach is nestled between two towering hillsides just five miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Proximity to numerous trailheads and a large parking lot make Muir Beach an epicenter for hiking and trail running in the Marin Headlands. The beach is pleasant on clear days, cold or warm, with five large fire pits and lots of space for people and dogs.
